You know, I'm a journalist and I'm actually working on a 5 pages
story on web hosting in France, so I meet with all kind of web hosting companies to interview them about the market & their perspective. And of course, when they know about Les Nouvelles.net, they all want to host us, often for free (sure, hosting a press agency would be good for their track record). But when I tell them my web hosting company actually always answer support email in 15 mn, is actually willing to restart Apache when needed, to install modules I would need and fix security issues on
the fly, they are getting nervous.

I'm glad I found you !

okay, I had no problem with the 'Link Tables' to my desktop; it is when exporting I get the msg ODBC call failed--information out of range.

No, no problem at all. I love your service and would recommend it to any of my friends. I no longer have the time or desire to run my site anymore. It's kind of the  reason I wanted Scoop, I was hoping some of the people that write to me all the time would post on the site more often. I've been running my site for almost two years now it's time for me to move on to other projects. I am by no means dissatisfied with the service your company.provided. In fact it the best of any hosting company I have used.

I have visited web-sites of more than 30 US providers and now think AlterCom to be the best. Now we plan to place our own site at your server to test all services, which we shall recommend to our clients. And to learn them more.

It's thanks to your fast server that we can afford to have such an heavy site. I had quite a few people asking me for your address in the past few weeks (one yesterday, btw). When they see how fast the server is and they hear how good and effective the help and the support are, they regret the clumsy sites they are now on and they want to switch.

To Jim and his staff at Altercom:

When the conception of Glueslug.org was developed we immediately knew that it would take a special web hosting company to meet our needs. Altercom was the solution.

We had planned on running a weblog (Scoop, from Kuro5hin.org) that required special needs and installations (such as mod_perl, mod_apache, etc) and a staff of dedicated folks to meet our constant demands. The chances of finding a Web hosting company that would support this were slim to none.

While searching for a host we came across many companies that claimed to support our requirements, but when the time came, each would give excuses leaving us without hosting and not reimbursing us for the initial setup fee. We were very discouraged to say the least.

Along came Altercom to save the day. Before we agreed to sign up with Altercom, we asked customer support numerous times about the requirements (trying to make sure we wouldn't get burned again...) and each time, Jim responded with a positive answer. "If it isn't already installed on our server, I will be happy to install it" he said. Needless to say we were shocked to hear this.

But our goal was not an easy one to attain. There were many technical difficulties along the way with conflicting versions of mods. We thought "Oh well, we tried, guess we will have to look for a different weblog to run." Then to our surprise, Jim writes us back to announce that he is going to start the installation all over on a new server! I mean this is going the
extra mile!

To make the long story short, it worked and now we have a great site that is running flawlessly! And the service doesn't stop there. Every so often we make updates to our scripts that require a restart of the server in order to take effect. Now what hosting company will actually do that for you? None
other then Altercom.

Many thanks to Jim from Altercom for his quick responses and willingness to help.

I came across Altercom through a friend who does design work for them and he recommended that I suggest Altercom to my customers. I have always trusted my friend's opinion and now I know why. Not only was he entirely correct about the services Altercom offers, but if he had only told me about their customer service staff I would have jumped on Altercom's band wagon sooner.

I have had roughly 4 years of experience in the customer service
business and I can honestly say that I have never had the pleasure of working with or speaking with someone who has treated me as well as Jim from Altercom. This sounds strange, but unfortunately it is true. Jim, if I had 5 fellow employees who had your customer service skills I would probably be a millionaire.
