Why
Us?
Reliability! Fast,
Cheap, Reliable. Pick any two.
We operate from the most reliable, highest
quality equipment.
Accidents can and do happen. That's why your
connections are monitored 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. We utilize BGP4 multi-homing,
to ensure the reliability of your connection. If one network provider goes down, we can
immediately switch to another.
There were at least four major Internet outages
during July 1998. They included a UUnet network problem at the beginning of the month that
lasted about 3 days. WorldCom had problems at MAE-West (a major access point) on the 11th
and the 16th of the month. These two incidents caused outages or traffic slowdown for
approximately 8 hours. On July 18th, a fiber cut in Baltimore affected the networks of
AT&T, MCI, Sprint, and WorldCom for several hours.
The design and redundancy of the network has really paid off. With
connections to six of the major Internet backbone providers, traffic is rerouted
automatically when problems occur, thereby ensuring the integrity of the network and
continued access for our clients.
Furthermore, we maintain completely 100 Mb/s. ether-switched
network. The use of these ether-switches prevents all forms of packet sniffing, thus
ensuring the security of a client's server. Switches also move data from the router to the
server and back much faster and more efficiently than hubs. This design gets data in and
out of the network as quickly as possible.
Daily tape backups ensure that a catastrophic failure won't
destroy your web presence. Plus, we employ UPS (Uninterrupted Power Supplies) and
backup generators so that even power interruptions won't interrupt your business.
The result is superior connections putting your company
reliably on the Web. The Servers are constantly being upgraded as necessary to sustain low
system loads at all times. With the rapid growth of the Internet, it is very important to
have your site on rock solid high speed connections. A site may seem fast for you to
access, but it doesn't necessarily mean that it will be to someone following a different
route.
